The average private investment per pitch is around £1,400, but can be as little as £10 per pitch. It is not unusual for a crowdfunded business to have hundreds of micro-investors or ‘armchair dragons’ as they are sometimes known.

ANGEL FINANCE | EARLY STAGE & HIGH GROWTH | £50k to £3M
Angel finance allows sophisticated or high net worth private investors [business angels] to buy shares in a company, usually as members of a small syndicate.
Business Angel Networks act as the honest broker between the company and the private investors and compete to provide their own members with a range of investible opportunities. Business Angels usually belong to more than one Business Angel Network.
Pilot Cottage has introductory arrangements with both local and national Business Angel Networks and provides investment readiness advice and practical support.
